Turkey Weekend
We had a pretty good Thanksgiving week. Thursday we drove to KY and spent the day with my family. Maw was really sick, but other than that it was good. Dinner was delicious and we watched football and played games. Friday morning Misha and Paw went to get Misha's deer meat (he got 2 - I don't remember if I said that or not) and then we left for Ohio.
It took us a little longer to get there than usual, but it was worth it! Cait was really happy to see us and Noah was all about Misha! He kept asking him to watch him play games! Lana warmed right up to us and was sitting on my lap with in 5 minutes. Apparently that is pretty rare for her! She started sneaking up on Misha and making him laugh! We only got to spend about 2 hours there, but it was much better than nothing.
The drive home seemed to last forever. At one point I was trying so hard to stay awake, because I didn't want to leave Misha driving alone at midnight, that I was singing at the top of my lungs along with hits from the 60s. However, I was still falling asleep! I was falling asleep while singing!
Saturday I spend the day with Dee and we scrapped. I hadn't scrapped in awhile and I did a great page of the cats and one of Misha and my Dad's birthdays. Misha woke up Saturday morning sick as a dog. I guess Maw passed it on to him. I am trying to stay a safe distance away because I get sick if someone just mentions an illness!
Sunday, I made us a turkey, mashed potatoes and stuffing. Misha wanted leftovers and we didn't have any (even though Dee did safe us a bag of turkey!) I also made my first ever apple cobbler. It was really good. I still have a bunch of apples left from our bobbing for apples at Shirl's bday. I think I am going to make a cobbler for Dee and one for Misha's dad.
When I finally woke up this morning (I was an hour late for work!) and got to work I discovered that MWABJ is sick, too! Great, now I have to fight it at home and work. Keep your fingers crossed that I don't get it!
I am playing around with a wordpress.com site and trying to figure out if I want to go that route. I like a lot of things about it, so we will see.
